STEP 1 - Obtaining a Registration Form
There are several ways to obtain a registration form:
- a. Download the form online

You can download a pdf of the registration form and print it out.- b. By Email

To request a registration form be posted to your home or postal box.- c. By Phone

Phone the Marae Secretary, for a form to be posted to your home or postal box.
STEP 2 - Posting Your Registration Form
Once you have completed all the fields on the form to the best of your knowledge please post to the following address:

STEP 3 - Verification of Membership
A copy of the application will be forwarded to the Membership Committee for verification. Applications from whangai are accepted and will also be forwarded to the Membership Committee for verification.
You may be asked to provide further information in support of your application. Confirmation of your membership will be sent to you, with your Pukehou Trust registration number.
Where an application is declined, the application may dispute that decision in writing within 28 days (refer to contact us page).
The Ngati Maru Register
The Ngati Maru register is the register of Ngati Maru o Taranaki people which is maintained by the runanga.
By Registering You Are:
- Acknowledging your whakapapa and connection to Ngati Maru Iwi
- Eligible to vote in runanga elections (if you are 18 years old or over)
- Be informed on Ngati Maru o Taranaki’s latest projects and developments
- Be eligible to participate and contribute to the Ngati Maru Treaty settlement process and Foreshore and Seabed settlement (if you are 18 years old or over)
- Be able to contribute to, inform and be heard by the runanga to plan for our future.
It’s important that everyone registers - we need your help to inform our whānau
Why Register?
To participate in the election of Office Holders on to the Ngati Maru board of Trustees.
To access entilements such as scholarships and other assistance the Board may determine from time to time.
Who Can Register?
Anyone who is able to trace their descent from a Tipuna, who is directly aligned and or associated with Ngati Maru o Taranaki is eligible to register.
